STD Tests to do and Why

August 8 2017

One of the most horrifying topics to talk about is about STDs. However, the truth has to be talking, and knowledge on STD's and STD testing is very crucial. These diseases are most common to the people that are sexually active. Some people think that they will not get infected when they use condoms, but this is not true because you can still get infected in some conditions that are beyond and other contraceptives. To make sure that you are not spreading the disease or you are not suffering, then you can buy a home test kit. However, you need to identify the type of STD testing that you require.

One thing to consider is to choose a test depending on the symptoms that we have. Different organisms and bacteria are responsible for causing different diseases, and thus they need different mechanisms to test. You can sense different organisms through different symptoms and signs. For instance, if what you have a penile or vaginal discharge or you have pain when urinating, and then you may be required to test for chlamydia and gonorrhea. You may also need to buy a home kit test for syphilis if you have noticed any symmetrical non-itchy skin rashes or skin lesions. You may also need to get tested for herpes if you notice any blisters in the hands, genitals or the mouth.

Another thing you need to know about STD's and STD testing is that different test kits are recommended for different sexual partners. At times it gets difficult to ask you, partner, to disclose their status without losing the mood of having intercourse. It is, however, recommendable that you ask your partner to disclose their health status to you honestly.  Just ask them in the best way possible that they will not feel displeased.

Testing is for everyone.it does not matter if you trust that your partner is safe, if you are using contraceptives or if you think that you are completely healthy. You do not have to use all the required kits for you can narrow down to the kits that you think that you need depending on your lifestyle. Males are mostly advised to undergo HIV and chlamydia tests. This is because this two diseases will show their symptoms when they have already done too much damage to the body. Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted illness that can affect both females and males. They can have a very great effect on the fertility of the body.

The STDs can also affect male that has sexual intercourse with other males. HIV can especially be recommended these people because it can be transferred through anal sex.  Another disease known of been associated with male to male sex is syphilis. Men that are more active are advised for more screening. It does not matter if you look healthy or not, but it is advisable for healthy women to go for the testing. It is also recommended in many studies for people to be vaccinated over HPV to reduce the number of times you go for STD's and STD testing.
